Dr. Azadeh Kelly

When Dr. Kelly was 2 years old, she was diagnosed with an intermittent eye turn. Fortunately, her mother was determined to help her without surgery and found a doctor who was able to help Dr. Kelly improve her vision problem with eye exercises when she was about 10 years old. It was at that point that Dr. Kelly decided to become a developmental optometrist.

As a Developmental Optometrist, Dr. Kelly diagnoses and treats functional vision problems which interfere with reading and learning.  This includes problems with focusing, eye tracking, eye coordination, visual information processing, strabismus, amblyopia, as well as vision problems that result from concussion and traumatic brain injuries.

Dr. Kelly received her Degree as a Doctor of Optometry from Western University College of Optometry in Pomona, California. She completed her Residency in Pediatric, Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy through the Southern College of Optometry. Soon after completing her residency, Dr. Kelly fulfilled the rigorous requirements of the Fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO).

Dr. Kelly is board certified in vision development and vision therapy by the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD). Post-doctorate training is always ongoing, so far it includes more than 250 hours in vision development and vision therapy.
